How Sidemail protects your deliverability

Deliverability is not a single feature. It’s a system. Here’s how we protect your email every day.

  • Authenticated sending from your domain

Sidemail helps you verify your sending domain and provides you with DKIM, SPF, and DMARC setup so inbox providers can recognize your emails as legitimate and trusted.
  • Carefully managed sending infrastructure

Sidemail handles the infrastructure layer for you, ensuring the email delivery is fast, stable, and reliable.
  • Handling bounces & complaints

Bounces and complaints are processed automatically, with recipients added to a suppression list to protect your sender reputation and delivery quality.
  • Giving you the full visibility

Sidemail provides you with detailed API logs, email statuses, events, and 90‑day full message history, giving you deep visibility into every email.
  • Service Level Agreement

Sidemail’s SLA backs your email infrastructure with a clear availability commitment, so critical product emails are supported by more than a promise.

Designed to be simple, but not shallow

Sidemail is intentionally simpler than traditional enterprise email clouds, but it still covers the core delivery workflow product teams need.

Use cases

Built for product‑critical emails

Sidemail is designed for SaaS and AI teams that send both transactional and product emails.

  • Password reset emails
  • Magic links and login codes
  • Welcome and onboarding emails

Authenticated sending from your own domain

Domain verification helps prove that you control the domain you want to send from. DKIM helps receiving mail servers verify that your emails were authorized by your domain and were not altered in transit.

Sidemail dashboard – Domain verification

Sidemail provides you with best practices out‑of‑the‑box and guides you through the DNS setup. For Cloudflare users, Sidemail can configure DNS records through a direct integration, reducing manual setup work.

Recommended setup:

  • Verify your sending domain + setup DKIM and SPF
  • Publish a DMARC record
  • Keep reply‑to addresses valid and monitored
  • If needed use separate subdomains for different email streams

Built‑in bounce, complaint, and suppression handling

Bad addresses and unwanted email hurt deliverability. Sidemail tracks email outcomes and helps you understand what happened to each message.

Sidemail dashboard – Email history

When an email bounces, receives a complaint, or should no longer be sent to, Sidemail helps prevent repeated sending that could damage reputation.

Email statuses include:

  • queued
  • delivered
  • open
  • bounce
  • complain
  • suppressed
  • error
  • scheduled

Email history & detailed API logs

When a customer says “I didn’t receive the email” you need answers quickly. Sidemail gives you 90‑day email history and detailed API logs so you can inspect recent delivery activity, search messages, and see detailed information.

Sidemail dashboard – Detailed API logs

You can use Sidemail to check:

  • Whether the email was created
  • When it was queued
  • Which address it was sent to
  • Whether it was delivered
  • Whether it bounced or was suppressed
  • Whether there was a complaint
  • Related event history and more

This makes support easier for your team and less frustrating for your users.

FAQs

Can Sidemail guarantee inbox placement?

No email platform can honestly guarantee that every message will land in the inbox. Inbox providers evaluate many signals, including your authentication, reputation, recipient engagement, complaint rate, content, and sending behavior. Sidemail gives your email strong technical and operational foundation, monitors platform health, helps prevent harmful sending, and gives you visibility into delivery events.

Does Sidemail support DKIM?

Yes. When setting up your sending domain in Sidemail, we provide you with DNS records to add to your domain's DNS provider and automatically set up DKIM and SPF for you so you can send authenticated email from your own domain. Also, for Cloudflare users, Sidemail can configure DNS records through a direct integration, reducing all manual setup work.

Do I need DMARC too?

For best results, yes. DKIM and SPF are important, but DMARC helps further protect your domain from spoofing/phishing and improves email deliverability. Modern inbox providers also expect proper DMARC configuration, especially for higher‑volume senders. To enable DMARC for your domain, Sidemail provides your with a DNS record you can simply add in your DNS provider.
