We do everything on our own without outside help. We learned everything about coding, design, and making software products in general from the internet — thank you, content creators!
When we needed Sidemail, it didn’t exist. Integrating transactional emails into an app felt like reinventing the wheel. To sent product updates, it was a nonstop struggle with unnecessarily complicated marketing tools. So in 2018, we challenged ourselves to fix that — build Sidemail. In the words of Ross Edgley, we were naive enough to start, stubborn enough to finish.
What’s beautiful about software products is that almost anybody can make a useful app in a small corner of the internet and make money — all you need is a laptop and an internet connection.
We’d love to keep working on Sidemail long-term and build a stable, profitable business out of what once was just a side-project.
