Sidemail News (November 2026): Remote MCP server with OAuth

We've just made it easier to connect your AI assistant to Sidemail!

Sidemail now has a hosted remote MCP server with OAuth. You can connect ChatGPT, Claude, VS Code, Codex, Google Gemini, and other compatible clients through a secure browser sign-in, then manage your emails right from your assistant.

You choose which Sidemail project your assistant can access. And thanks to OAuth, your Sidemail API key is never shared with the client.

What you can do

Once connected, your AI assistant can help you:

  • Manage sending domains and check their verification status.
  • Prepare Messenger drafts for product updates and newsletters.
  • Manage transactional emails and look up sent history.
  • Create and update contacts, groups, and email templates.
  • Manage inbound routes and inspect received emails.
  • Review API logs to troubleshoot requests.

Example: Try it with your next product update

Have release notes ready? Ask your AI assistant to turn them into a product update email.

It can prepare a Messenger draft in Markdown, ready for you to review and approve before sending. A simple way to go from a list of changes to an email for your customers.

How to connect

  1. Add Sidemail's remote MCP server to your compatible AI client using this URL: https://api.sidemail.io/mcp.
  2. Sign in to Sidemail in your browser.
  3. Choose the project your assistant can access and approve the connection.

You can also connect your project directly from your Sidemail Dashboard. For setup instructions for each client, check out our MCP server documentation.
