Sidemail News (July 2025): MCP server, detailed API Logs, new public Messenger and Domains APIs & more

It’s time to recap what's new in Sidemail. And this one is big. I’m very excited:

⭐ MCP (Model Context Protocol)

I’m happy to announce that Sidemail is one of the first email services to introduce MCP integration.

In case you’re not familiar – what is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a new open standard that makes it easier for AI systems to connect with external data and services. MCP acts a bit like an API for AI models – it provides a standard “language” for AI programs to access tools or data from the outside world.

The Sidemail MCP server enables you to programmatically send and manage transactional emails, contacts, sending domains, and Messenger features – right from MCP agent mode in VS Code, Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients.

🔎 API Logs

In your Sidemail Dashboard, you can now see every API request with all its details, request body, and response body – making development even easier.

To check out API logs, navigate to your project's API section > scroll down to API Logs. Details include timestamp, client, HTTP path, status, duration, and more.

💡 More news and updates

• New public Messenger API: You can now manage Sidemail Messenger not just from your Dashboard, but also via API. It lets you easily send newsletters, campaigns, and product updates to your users – fully automated, personalized, and managed via API. Read more in docs.
• New public Domains API: It lets you list, add, and remove domains, as well as view their verification and DNS setup status. Read more in docs.
• Google Play Store and Apple App Store icons: You can now add Play Store and App Store links to your email footers. To set it up, go to your project’s Settings > Project design, and turn on Social media.
• API documentation: We’re also continuously improving Sidemail API docs, so when you need to configure anything new, it’s a matter of a few moments, not hours. Recent updates to API docs include more languages and code examples, as well as stylistic and design improvements.
• Messenger UI has received a design update – to make writing your newsletters even faster and more enjoyable.
